Vincent Charles Anderson Fawkes, with a name like that you wouldn't expect to find this 34 year old rotting in a jail cell; however expectations have a habit or getting broken. This man had always been about breaking expectations, He was top of his class at a fancy private school and would have graduated in that place if he hadn't gotten expelled after his 24th of 3 strikes (the headmaster just seemed to like him) 3 weeks before the exams season. He didn't need a piece of paper to show that he was excellent at what he did anyway. After working for Le Maitre (the British theatrical pyrotechnics manufacturer) for a year he quickly moved into shadier and more destructive lines of work. His portfolio included work for Harry Holmes, one of the most prominent British gangsters of the time, and assassinating various members of parliament; but you would never find any way of linking him to these incidents, that's partly why he was so popular, the metropolitan police and MI5 have spent countless months trying to find a culprit for theses crimes and every time they seemed to be getting close various strings would get pulled and the investigation would grind to a standstill again.

Many of the investigating officers believed the person behind these events had friends in some very high up places, friends isn't exactly the right word. They were more interested in utilizing his skills for their own means, so once they had been convinced of his value and had enough leverage to ensure his loyalty they went and trapped him. They commandeered a random parking official to deliver the file and payment on one of their companies competitors, the file was filled with rubbish about an arms dump and security hideout, it failed to mention the innocent family occupying the house, or the army of police officers that would be waiting to arrest him as he left. Unfortunately for him the plans of the powers that be went off flawlessly, after leaving Vincent in prison to rot for a few months he was dragged out to an office and given information on his two available options, A) go to trial for all his previous work, this would end with multiple life sentences despite how good his lawyer may be. Or B) Work for them, strings would be pulled and he would be placed on the next ship to leave to deal with this new problem that is arising.

Vincent knew the only real option would be B, or failing that maybe make up option C) blow the living daylights out of these people that were trying to control his life. Option C seemed the most attractive but he knew the only way to get there was through B, so he signed the papers and awaited the hyperspace journey, not with the dread and anticipation others might be feeling for the imminent journey with doubtful chances of survival but with a calm sense of determination, he would make sure the people conspiring to control his life would suffer the same fate as the family he had been set up to slaughter.
