Ok, so - for the purposes of this campaign the house rules will be as follows.
On dice rolling:
On dice rolling:
- I will be handling ALL the dice rolling through means of the invisiblecastle website. I find it to be easier/faster that way.
- The results will be posted along the text in the way of a link.
- If you want to use an Action Point to get a bonus on your roll, you MUST tell me that in advance.
- At the moment of creation, every character gets hit points by this same formula: Con score + Maximum hp for 1st lvl + Half hp for 2nd and 3rd level + (Con mod x level).
- Every new level after that, we roll dice and add Con modifier as per usual.
- Your damage threshold is the same as your Con score. Which means that if you suffer that amount of damage from a single blow you'll might die from it.
- When you receive a critical hit, the damage isn't double (or tripled), but instead it lowers your damage threshold by 1. It doesn't lower your Con score.
- When you strike a critical hit we automatically double the damage.
- You'll start with a limited number of Action Points that you can spend in different ways:
[1] To add a 1d6 to one given roll (any d20 roll, that is).
[2] To get an extra action for that round.
[3] To get temporary hit points equal to your Con modifier. They'll stay active by that same amount of rounds.
[4] And some Talents might need the expenditure of one action point in order for you to use them as well.
- On a round (about 6 seconds of game time), you can normally do 1 movement and 1 standard action, plus a free adjustment of 5 ft. (but only if you refer to it).
- On a movement you'll walk the distance covered by your movement value, usually 30 ft.
- If you run, you'll cover double that. So, if instead of using your standard action you just want to run, you'll move up to 4 times your movement value.
- With other types of locomotion, like climbing, crawling, swimming, you'll usually only cover half of your movement value.
- You can use an action point to do 1 extra movement OR 1 extra standard action (attack, using a skill, using an object, whatever).
- I might add more stuff to this list later on...
- Feel free to ask anything and everything in this thread about rules and such...!
- The story is more important than the rules! So, sometimes, I tend to turn my eyes the other way...
- I hope we can all have fun with this campaign!
