You all know the back-story, its 5 years after the Yuuzhan Vong War etc etc. If you want to know more ask away here, let it be a forum for discussion if you will…. aha.
All I need from everyone, apart from characters is what i request below, although more is always appreciated, you can reply openly on forum, or privately via message.
I would like one thing you would like to see or do in game.
and what a gather information check would reveal about you.
DC 5: What race you are
DC 10: What is your general disposition? (surly, pleasant, aloof etc)
DC 15: What is it you do? (Are you a gunslinger, silver tongued, thief etc)
DC 20: What is your name and reputation?
DC 25: What is the job you are best known for, and how it went down the way you tell it.
DC 30: What is the job you are best known for, and how it went down in actuality.
DC 35: A shame or secret best kept hidden.
p.s sarah there is no reason if everyone else is ameniable you cannot be on the ship from the beginning.

DC 5: Race? A droid, although the degree and model are unknown. Probably a worker droid of some sort.
DC 10: Personality? Stock 2nd Degree technical droids don't have a personality, silly. They may develop odd quirks if their memories aren't wiped regularly, however.
DC 15: Occupation / Purpose? Judging by the shape and design (the factory code and developer name have been scratched off the chassis, for some reason), this is probably a Clone-Wars Era Banking Clan repair droid. Equipped with repulsorlifts, manipulators and pre-programmed with mechanical knowledge, they could jury-rig most vessels in under a quarter of an hour. This droid looks to have undergone significant modification, however.
DC 20: Name and reputation? The droid's original model designation is impossible to tell - every single piece of hardware has had its code scratched out, and the software contains no record of anything from before about five years ago. Even the factory settings are missing. The name the droid goes by is LX-LT5 - the letter-number combination does not appear to have any meaning. Droids do not normally accrue much of a reputation, but it is rumoured that Captain ______ apparently owns a technical droid that matches this description.
DC 25: Most famous operation, from LX's point of view. Honest statement: I am a peaceful droid with a deep respect for all organic life, even the ugly ones. And the fat ones. And the inefficient ones. Slightly less honest statement:And those who are a blight on galactic society and seem intent on dismantling myself and the creator. Sad reflection: This makes the tasks I am assigned even harder for my conscience inhibitor to come to terms with. But I am a droid, and I exist to serve. With the air of an old organic recalling the time-corrupted memories of his youth: I recall one task The Creator assigned me. He had left the comfort of our ship, I believe to hawk his wares to another organic. This is understandable - organics have a woefully inefficient recharging system, and require a nigh-constant input of oxygen, water and edible consumables - all of which are not readily available in the void of space. Prideful statement:The Creator assigned the guarding of our ship to me, and me alone. He stated that he did not expect trouble, but would like to be able to depart the spaceport quickly. I have the greatest respect for The Creator, but I am aware of his organic failings - namely naivety. I fully expected the other organics to turn on The Creator - they could either pay him credits for his wares, or overpower him and steal not only his wares, but also his ship AND his prize prototype Dynamic Architecture Droid. But my logic systems are flawless, and I anticipated this action. Boasting: Thus, when The Creator returned to the hangar bay, wounded and under fire, I was able to - with one button push - dissuade The Creator's attackers from pursuit, ensure that they would not be able to chase us even should they want to, and radically redesign the surrounding building. With possibly feigned regret: I will admit, the deaths I caused that day weigh heavily on my memory bank. Were I an organic and thus less in control of my own sentience, I would likely be kept awake by their faces at night. The Creator has offered to perform a selective memory wipe to purge the guilt, but I refuse. Noble Closing Statement: I will carry the memory of those I have slain forever, and mourn them every recharging-session.
DC 30: Most famous operation, as it actually happened. While his creator was delivering a hacked datapad to a client Hutt's palace on Nal Hutta, LX took the liberty of lacing the hangar bay, all four adjacent hangar bays, the cantina, the barracks and the Hutt's trophy room with detonite. He positioned the last charge next to their ship's engines, ensuring that the entire palace would be levelled when their ship took off. It turned out that LX had been so sure that his creator would be betrayed, he had not bothered to implement an option to disarm the explosives.
DC 35: A secret best kept hidden. When his creator was poking around LX's software, reprogramming him, he found a failsafe system hardwired into the droid's heuristic processor. The droid's original purpose was unclear - he got it second or third hand from a jawa on Tattooine - but the original designer had implemented a way to shut down the droid completely by uttering a certain nonsensical phrase in Huttese. Saying the phrase would cause the droid to instantly power down, causing permenant damage to its systems. Why this failsafe was built in was unclear, but the creator has so far been unable to extract or disable it.

DC 5: Chiss
DC 10: Open and Fair as well as being a shrewd businessman
DC 15: Informant and all round engineer. Uses his keen eyes and computer skills to sleuth out important information. Sometimes known to engage in some bounty hunting when the target is hard to find or innaccessable by normal means, but rarely. Can be relied on for custom modifications to droids and starships.
DC 20: Tha'rutuki'then (Haru) - Haru has a reputation as a ship owner, smuggler, contraband technology integrator and developer, hacker, slicer and information gather. Haru is rumoured to have a customised droid that he liberated to test his own skills.
DC 25: "I take no pains to tell you, to reinforce to you my skills and contacts, that I am on exceptional terms with the Hutt cartel. Back before that four year war, when I was far younger but no less savy in my field, I had become engaged in a trade agreement with a Hutt called Rooga. It was sour from the offset, I had been run around like some common fool from Nar Shaddaa to Groth, then back to Nal Hutta and finally back to Nar Shaddaa. A huge waste of time and money, but I had been promised a valuable deal from a Hutt and I was interested, profit also strikes true when it is backed up by a Hutt. So I had wasted alot of time being redirected stupidly around Hutt space, holding no real malice to the Hutt himself as it clearly was not intentional. Clearly.
But when I finally made my way back to Nar Shaddaa and got my meeting he tells me that I'm late. Then his droid tells me I'm late in Basic. I stand there, completely furious the Hutt had been late himself and because I went chasing him around the system, he tells me I'm late. Then the droid tells me in Cheunh that I am late. I ask Rooga in Huttese what he wants. He throws back this deep laugh and says "Don't believe you can make demands Chiss, you are of course very blue." the place explodes with laughter and frankly, I didn't get the joke. So I wait, and eventually he tells me he needs his droid, the language droid, upgraded. I ask him in what way and he says he needs it to be able to deal Sabacc. I cock my head a little and ask him if he know who I am and he tells me, get this, "My informants tell me that you are a master programmer and a skilled mechanic who will work with anyone for a good price". So we spoke a while longer and I explained that his informants are probably hitting death sticks because I don't even hide my proffesion from the Hutts. So we agreed I would get his droid dealing sabacc free of charge and that we could agree on some other work for me to do that is more profitable for us both.
Then, out of nowhere this wookie trundles in with a bowcaster and growls all over the place. Apparantly Rooga profited off of Kashyyyk slaving as well as helped to hide slavers after the New Republic formed. Frankly I could see the wookies point, but I'm a business and I needed the money. So when that shot got fired from that bow caster, I took it straight in the shoulder. The wookie was mowed down and Rooga was unharmed. Turns out that few would take a shot for a hutt, fewer than those that would take a shot at a hutt. So I got a reputation among the remnants of the Cartel for being, not only a shrewed business man, but a respectable ally and, by some, an idiot.
Well anyway, thats why the Hutts trust me, and why I have ins where others are without. So about that acclimator graveyard you want to find...
DC 30: Haru dived for cover from the bowcaster shot, and happened to fall straight in the way as the wookie got stabbed by a gammoran and dropped his bowcaster, the shot heading towards the Hutt. While the Hutts skin was saved, Haru's heroism was purely accidental, though he played it off at the time. In addition, the newly designed Sabacc droid was found to have a transmitter emitting to some unknown location. Those with more smarts than Rooga, attribute this to Haru.
DC 35: Haru has an addiction to spice, almost constantly burning off Grey Gabaki in his ship (Though this is no secret, he likes his customers to relax in his personal atmosphere), taking Booster Blue regularly (and regulated) and in some cases Carsunum. LX-LT5 was liberated and reprogrammed on a dose of Carsunum cut with Booster Blue, to improve his mental faculties and concentration, that nearly killed Haru. Haru takes personal responsibility for the resultant personality flaws that LX has; attributing them to his drug abuse during his reprogramming.

DC 5: Yuuzhan Vong, although she is covered in scars across the areas where she is not augmented.
DC 10: Friendly, Pacifistic, Suspicious of technology.
DC 15: Medic and Trainee Shaper. She has nearly completed her training, but with the lack of other Yuuzhen Vong to learn from, she is teaching herself my practice.
DC 20: Enga Ramar, Unknown among non-Yuuzhan Zong.
DC 25: (tba)
DC 30: (tba)
DC 35: Exiled from the Yuuzhan Vong shaper caste for her refusal to kill a human who she encountered in the war. When she came came face to face with him and he began to attack, she defended herself until she knocked him unconscious. Then she ran rather than be forced to finish him off. Her superiors learned of this act, which was in opposition to the teachings of their Gods, and scared her body in the manner of a Shamed One.

You know, I've been considered running a Star Wars game. Well not so much running one for people so much as....not running one for Neil.
