A large dark room with a diagram of the (currently) small facility hovering in 3D above a circular work table. If the facility had a brain, it was here.

As the doors slid open before Alyse and FIKSER, the lights suddenly crackled on, revealing the central table with its floating diagram, along with the control panels and screens to process any constructions.
Alyse was glad to finally get to the room, as throughout the entire trip FIKSER's commentary on every aspect of the plain, utilitarian corridors had not stopped. She had nothing against the overly cheerful robot, but without any coffee to still her nerves, she wasn't sure how many more walls, corners and floor tiles she could be introduced to without breaking something.
She began to examine the controls, and when she could not figure them out, turned to FIKSER. "So, how do we work this thing?"

FIKSER had LOVED the tour of the hallway, but to now be in the construction center, he was almost short circuiting with excitement "Well, I'm Glad you asked. Short answer, by manipulating the correct controls in such a manner as to produce a coherent set of instructions for the computers to follow leading to the construction of a new building. Long answer, well. You'd better get a seat and some coffee, it may take a while." FIKSER was happy to explain the instructions but would rather he could just get started straight away. "Hey, maybe instead of the long answer, we just get straight to work! I'm sure you'll be just Great at operating such a hugely complex and difficult system such as this! Maybe we could even get the other human to help out! That'd be Swell! Don't forget, we also need to decide what sort of building it is we want to construct in the first place!" It was obvious that FIKSER was letting out a huge, cheesy grin, even though his voice emitter couldn't move. "I'm just so super psyched to get started!"

Alyse sighed at the mention of coffee. If only.
"Well, what do we build out of? Do we have any?"

"We build out of our resources of course! I'll just check how much we have, don't worry, I won't be a minute" FIKSER turns around and starts tip taping on some keyboards and buttons. "Oh No, I'm afraid I have bad news, but, I also have good news, YAY! The bad news is that we have no resources coming in, boohoo, and we also appear to be out of coffee, so it'll just have to be a seat you pull up then. The good news is, we have 100au of each resource stored though! Double YAY! Here, why don't you take a look for yourself, this is the whole system status at the moment" The screen shows this. FIKSER steps back from the screen allowing Alyse to get close and see for herself. "I should be able to build a few things before we run out but it'd Definately be worth investing in some mines so we don't run out. Then we'd be screwed. Ha. ha. ha."

Alyse spotted the button in the corner marked "Costs", bringing up this information. "Ok, looks like we could build a new living area, and then some mines? Have I got that right?"

"Yes, that's correct! Good Job! See, you don't need coffee to operate functionally! Wonderful, that'll save some resources. I don't know why the system is so worried. Why don't I get straight to it then, maybe you should go check back on that other human. If he's alive, you should give him the grand tour of the hallway, it is a truly magnificent construction after all!" FIKSER turns around and after pressing one button, stops and turns back to Alyse "What sort of things go in a living area? I'm kinda new to the 'living' thing and don't really know, I sure would appreciate your help."

"Well, we need some beds, for sleeping on, and charging points for you and any other robots we find - assuming you need them? And some kind of food..." Alyse trails off as she realises there is no food having been found so far. "I suppose if we take the nutrients that were being fed into the now empty pods, we could use them for food?" She muses to herself. "Actually, why don't I stay here and help you, in person, with the design of the habitation area?" Alyse suggests, remembering how literally FIKSER seemed to take everything. She takes a seat near the terminal FIKSER is working on, and prepares to correct any oversights and suggest anything that is missing from FIKSER's vision of a living area.
[Shall we build the building together now?]

"That sounds Swell! Lets get to work then!" FIKSER starts to work on the control panel allowing Alyse to correct him in the many, many, Many ways hes getting things wrong. Examples include him trying to make beds upright because that's how humans stand and of course an oxygen supply to the room, because he didn't know humans breathed!

Alyse yawned. It had been a long night's work, and she needed some sleep (in lieu of the non-existant coffee). Standing up, she stretched, and said "FIKSER, I'm going to find somewhere to have a nap. Maybe back in the old habitation area. I'll see you in a while."

"Right then, have a Great nap. I'll just stay in here and build some more. YAY!" With more glee than usual, FIKSER turned around and started working at the control panel. He had an itching feeling in the back of his biogel matrix brain pan... There was Something he had to remember to build. 'What was it... AH yes, some resource mines! Darn, no intergalactic space combat vehicle construction bays tonight then...' he processed to himself as he got to work on the most needed mine, an ore mine.

Pleased with his own progress, FIKSER started to realise the potential a place like this could hold. All the things he could build in the future to help with his plans. It would be 'just so darned brilliant'.
Upon completing the first mine, he promptly got started building a second one, but this time for Gases

Now that the second mine was completed, FIKSER was going to get the third mine on its way to completion before he went off and started to calculate potential new buildings.
