Hi there everyone! I'm thinkin on throwing a new campaign starting in January. We would use the d20 Modern rules, but don't worry about it if you're not acquainted with them. Now, I was hoping to know what genre would you be interested in playing (if any): [/u] The coming of age ritual will force the youngsters to leave the island in order to prove themselves to the tribe. [2] Roman Empire: At the province of Asia Minor a group of Equites (horse troops) will encounter a sign sent from the gods above. [3] Science Fiction: Alexandria continues to be a disturbingly successful display of organized resistance against the ICC, but the military are joining forces to contain its progress. [/ul]More details in January or when quorum (3 to 5 players) is met. [PLEASE YOU GUYS, JUST WRITE A POST WITH YOUR VOTE SO THAT I COULD HAVE A BETTER IDEA OF THE OVERALL RESULTS]

I've just voted. Not to rig the election but to tell you guys that: 1. you don't have to choose only one genre if you feel undecided; 2. I feel comfortable with any result; 3. it's up to you now!

Ok, i know i may be overthinking it already buuuuuut, if the roman one goes ahead, are secret pagans allowed? ^_^

I assume the 1st one is less military like compared to roman sci fi? What tribe is the 1st one? african/native american/egyptian etc The premise, up to this point, is that they don't have a written language, nor they need it. I can't locate them as of yet any in region or any time... i'm totally up for this btw, depending on when you plan to play- my time is a wee bit limited Well, I can't play on Thursdays so, any other day would be fine (but preferably on Fridays or Saturdays) Ok, i know i may be overthinking it already buuuuuut, if the roman one goes ahead, are secret pagans allowed? ^_^ That'll be around the late 200s or early 300s. Have I answered your question?

aaand, Will there be a more detailed description of the 3 potential games? Ok, let me see if I can wrap it up in just a couple of words: [1] Pre-Historic: Your tribe lives in the Land-o'Here, separated from the Land-o'There by the Red-Tongue. The Red-Tongue only comes forth during the Syzygia and, because of that, that's when the adulthood rite takes place... [2] Roman Empire: Somewhere in Asia Minor the gods of old will unleash a desperate attack against this new god that people say has walked the earth and defeated death. The Equites will have to prove themselves worthy... [3] Science-Fiction: The troops have to train hard before being allowed to travel into deep space. And by hard, I mean a 77% dropout rate hard train...! Those who passed used to have it easy, but now the war against Alexandria calls forth... Hope the decision will be easier now.

Plusquam mille anni elapsi ab urbe condita.† The choice is obvious. We must now concentrate on the who — so, are all the voters willing to play? Those who do please send me an email to fernandes.jt@gmail.com and we'll start the process of character creation. You might be playing more than one character along the campaign (further explained later on), so be sure to think on more than one concept. To help you I'll post the list of occupations you can choose from (different colours=different degrees of acceptance): - Academic ■
- Aristocrat ■
- Creative ■
- Criminal ■
- Doctor ■
- Impoverished ■
- Military ■
- Religious ■
- Rural ■
- Servant ■
- Slave ■
This is only to give you guys a general idea... † All praise to the polyglot hermit.

Just as an appetizer, here you have the not-so-d20-modern character sheet we're gonna use for this S.P.Q.R. campaign. Anyway, this campaign would be optimal for 4 players but I can deal with a maximum of 6. I'm still working on the house rules (more like a setting by now) but as soon as you email me we can start the character creation process...! Happy holidays everyone! :)

This is the map of the Roman Empire at the time we're starting the game. You can choose any Province you want as your origin. The names of each Province are mostly accurate but I've grouped them into eleven Terræ by my own terms, so nevermind about accuracy. Each Terræ will give you access to different languages, starting bonus feats and preferred Occupations and Classes - which we will later discuss individually. Go here if you want a larger file. So, who's in?
