The quote is to ease someone's mental state and to specify feelings to a certain person.

Fresh gossip from across the kingdoms mainly, new goods in town, particularly large spiders in the sewers, the wifes new pet raven... The princesses latest episode. That kind of thing.

Well its a good thing this city has such fine sewage engineers who can deal with that sort of thing, and the city has no need of adventurers to sort that out for them

Sewage engineers are given a free Wish spell on entry into their job, must have heroic class levels in fighter or barbarian (with skill ranks in craft masonry) and most be able to provide 3000 gp of magical gear to support themselves!
No but really, sewers vary from smelly to lethal depending on the area.

It is said that once the Administrative council legalised petitioned assassinations provided both a hiring fee and administrative fees were paid. Whilst this system was dispanded after the death of a Council Members daughter it is widely believed that assassin groups are contactable with the right contacts and the right wallet.

By "the princess' latest episode" do you mean typical royal tantrums or something else?

I'll answer that after we sort out timing.
So Sarah is busy from 4 every day from monday to thursday. And Matt is busy from 2:30 friday to (I assume) late sunday.
So yeah, I'm not happy starting at 10am on a week day to have 6 hours play at the most on a week day. I don't want to force people to immediately start with riggid endings or over short sessions.
What do people want to do? After lectures have finished the above is able to happen and frankly, it's not good enough to play with (I could try but I doubt I would put up with it for long).

Assuming those times for Matt are ongoing, I can't really see a solution. Well, aside from either Matt or Sarah managing to re-negotiate their working hours / days, but I realise that is not really feasible.
Short of that, well... we play with what we've got, I guess.

Unfortunately, as the company I work for stop calling people at 8.30 and I start at 6, if I go in any later there's no point me going in at all. (Yes, it takes an hour and a half to get there by bus due to traffic)
