First of all, a note on seasons and times.
There are four seasons as normal divided in the same way and for simplicity with the same names. The calendar is divided into 8 parts which consist of the waxing and waning of each season.
Each waxing and waning period is 45 days long. Each season has a days gap between its end and the next seasons beginning. As such, each season is 90 days with a single day gap. Leading a year to be 364 days, but there is an additional day at the apex of winter and summer which are the solstices, creating a 366 day year measured by the seasons.
Just so you know, the game started during autumn waxing 42, year 1216 of Imperial VIII.
The calendar of this continent is reset every new ruler and tends to last between 5 to 2000 years depending on the specific ruler.
You could say that the calendar is measured by the length of the ruler. But that would be pun-ishably bad humour.

Note: Opportunities. An opportunity is an off of table roleplaying opportunity with a tangible character reward. These are optional and will generally be quite minor to read on the page just keep an eye out for them. Roleplaying through other things may bring rewards as merited.
Waxing 42; Autumn – Three young people travel from a lowly depositary on the edge of a vicious land to take residence defending their land in the harshest place known throughout the kingdom.
Waxing 43; Autumn – They arrive after a short journey, stopping only to battle ice wolves and to goad/placate one of the keeps defenders, Uxa the Silver Dragon. They partake in a challenge to prove they are up for the job, despite foul play from the opposition in their trials, and they overcome one of the fortresses training beasts. With one of their companions injured they are shown to the barracks where they pick their beds. Unceremoniously entered into the forts ranks they rest.
Waxing 45; Autumn – The group is introduced to the key figures in the fort; Gallen the portly older man who was battled during the second challenge introduces himself as the Quarter Master who issues and monitors equipment and shipments within the fort; Barador Ledreon, the forts Drill Master, with slick backed hair and a naturally commanding tone who was first met in the lodge with the Martial; Gratz the Orc chef, master of meat, chitin, ichor and anything else that is to be found in the bloodmysts; Raith Smythe the forts Pastor; Uxa, Dazat, Mirss and Claux the four Silver Dragon Sentinels and Alfrick the Forts Marshal.
Waning 1; Autumn – Proper training begins. Gallen talks to Erugaar about weapons from his land.
Waning 7; Autumn – Raith, a cleric of Lendys tries to talk to Issaya about theology.
Waning 24; Autumn – A mundane thing around the fort, it is discovered that Alfrick is one of the seven children of Eidelene, the previous long standing elven queen married to the God Emperor. This makes him a prince of the realm.
Waning 36; Autumn – Rywyn is invited to join the guards gambling ring.
More later ~ there is a bit of content to post.

Waning 7; Autumn
As usual the weather is biting cold, permeating down into the barracks and relaxation area below the lodge, a deep blow from winter’s blade. You would be forgiven for fearing the coming winter as this region has already taught you of new extremes you were previously unfamiliar with. With an extra cleric on hand at the fort the soldiers seem more relaxed, when winter comes it is not uncommon for many men to fall to fatigue or die from exhaustion on the walls, even the indomitable dragons can fall ill. This challenging future no doubt plays on your mind as you sit relaxing in your bunk covered in the furs of a thick hided animal.
Someone approaches.
“You will eventually get used to the cold, everyone does”
It is the pastor Raith,
“My deity gives me the strength to do my duty, stalwart and adamant against doubt and controversy. I know that protecting this land is my duty and that is why I am here, and will remain here. I received a vision at the age of 15 that I should travel to the edge of civilization to hold back what evils may come against this land and judge them with impunity. This, I believe, also applies to evils within this fort and so I root out corruption with pride.”
He pauses in thought for the briefest of moments, before you can interject he pulls out his holy symbol and continues,
“You will never have seen me pray. Lendys’ rituals are far flung from yours; where you pray to the rising sun so as to give you strength we pray before the coming night as the sun recedes, we pray to Lendys to give us the power to hold back the night regardless of the trials of the day. I conduct my hours prayers on the western wall to watch what little light reaches from the sun disappear; as the temperature drops considerably I sit and pray. It took me years to be able to deal with the cold but I did manage; in the same way you will also get used to it, over time.”
He replaces his symbol and takes a breath, his eyes change to a more serious expression and his lips terse.
“But tell me why a mothering deity like Tamara would have one of her clerics sent to this harsh place, the gods know their place and whilst Tamara’s followers are healers this is the work of Lendys’ and Bahamut’s followers. I don’t wish to be rude but tell me the story of your decision, not that I doubt your motives but I do not see any resolution in your journey apart from a sad end.”
He stares at you awaiting an answer.

"Whilst you are here to assist the soliders in withstanding the evils that they may encounter in this harsh place, I have been sent to provide comfort and relief from the pain and ailments that they might suffer from while doing their duty. I believe that both are necessary for a strong and productive defence against evil.
When I heard about the situation here and the need for fresh recruits to bolster the ranks, I knew then that it would be Tamara's wish that those who had been here for a while receive support and feel assisted by the new arrivals, and that those new arrivals have some form of comfort in their new and far from home role.
It is my duty to help the people, just as it is yours to protect the land."
Issaya stands up, feeling the cold but attempting not to show it; she dearly wants Raith to be an ally in their shared goal of support and assistance, regardless of the exact methods and purpose, rather than another opposing force.
"I do hope you don't feel my presence here a intrusion upon your duty. I believe that our methods and goals are completely compatible, and that by working togther we can serve our deities far more than we could alone."
She looks to him, attempting to judge his reaction to what she has said.

"You're reasons are just."
He sighs and adjusts his gaze to the door.
"I hope you don't feel bitter if any companions you make here are interrogated by myself. I am keen to keep evil at bay, even the slightest glimmer must be quelled. If you do not have the stomach to help me when that time comes then please, stay clear of the whole procedure."
He removes a small ivory box from his robes.
"These prayer salts will help to keep attention during difficult moments when it is hard to focus. It helped me to maintain my regimen in this environment."
He places the box atop your trunk and heads towards the exit.

"Not to be rude, but do you interrogate everyone who arrives here, or is there a reason for interrogating companions I make? Not that you have to tell me, but I would want to be made aware of any intensive questioning of my companions, or any other residents of this fort, as it is not the most relaxing and calming of proceedures, and does little for the interrogated's mental and emotional wellbeing.
To make clear, I do not have issue with this, but I would to be able to tend to those that may be distressed by the experience."

"I was warning you that it may happen, nothing more. I was being polite."
Raith leaves the room.

To re-explain the post hidden on the previous page. If you want to RP an event please give the date stamp so that I know that you want to RP it. You are welcome to queue more than one thing and I'll do them in the order I recieve but yeah, because I have to initiate the RP (see sarahs example, they will all be prose like this) I will do it in a standardised way. As LN as that is that is how I am.

As I have a long day of lectures tomorrow I will start Waning 1st now and reply to the rp asap. Future time updates will happen on wednesday morning/late tuesday (covering winter / spring) and summer should go up on thursday giving time to wrap up all RP oportunities. The summer will be intentionally lacking in obvious opportunities so as to wrap up the previous ones.
