"No problem" taking the parchment and closing the door. I'll read it without opening it.

The letters are a bit scrambled and difficult to read through the parchment as it is rolled up into a cylinder making the message inverted upside-down and going in a circle but you manage to make out the majority after a bit of trying. The letter is sent from the templars offering a conditional surrender. They Will leave with "the Grail" in return for free passage to the harbour through the city.

"they want mercy now after denying it to me when they came to this town, not a chance" and i toss the note in the fire before anyone else sees it.

The note shrivels up from the heat of the fire, blackens and turns to ashes. The only thing left is the seal until also it starts melting leaving nothing behind of the templar's plea.

Busby could see what ever was coming, sadly this did not make him any faster so the giant ambush was still deadly; he's now painting with odin and his patron.
Albert Nebuchadnezzar was abandoned as a child, left on the steps of DraĆochta, a monastery of magical martial arts, high in the mountains. Skipping forward to the age of 34 Al is cast out from DraĆochta, his school, his home and told never to come back under pain of death. Stripped down to his pants and with deep wounds on his back from the flogging, albert is screaming at the top of his voice as he's dragged through the main hall of the monastery, "I'll come back one day..................and when that day comes............you pathetic monks will pay for your cowardice!" The doors open, outside the rain beats down relentlesly and the two monks holding Al toss him down the steps into the wet mud. Skip forward another 2 years, Al is now self proclaimed mayor of a small village which he rules without mercy and an iron fist. There is a zero tolerance for crime and any injustice is swiftly 'delt with' in person by Mayor Nebuchadnezzer. It's at this point that he is contacted by Odvard and the story can truley begin.

While being mostly unnoted in the history books up until this time Albert Nebuchadnezzar started to take a more prominent role. His rulership of one of the minor settlements in Scandia had not gone unnoticed from Gothia's ever-watchful eye. It is unlikely that anything passed beyond his gaze after he seized the kingdom. However, it was not until Emphyra, his prospective romantic interest, mentioned him in conversation about a good future ruling method of Scandia that Gothia started paying more than a leisurely interest in his dealings. Being a scholar of statesmanship it would only be a matter of time before Odvard gave him a more prominent role to play in Scandia to study his ways.

Because of the RP Soc meeting on Wednesday this game will be postponed until the week after. I apologize for any confusion I may have caused when I said I might still be running it.

We will never know what happened to Grok. What we will know is that he set sail for the mediterranean and he was never seen or heard from again. We also know he had to make do without the hammer which showed considerable resentment to the idea of leaving Scandia. It now rests in the vault of his estate.
The battle goes on even when the warrior leaves the battleground. Albert Nebuchadnezzar and Fletch saw the coming of a paladin to serve as Groks replacement but this one fought with bow and arrow. Paladins were rare when not in service of the Christian Clergy and this one was lost in most sense of the words but his aim proved deadly. The fall of the Giant King echoed through the lands.
Some tasks rather require a keen intellect than swords and arrow. The Gagneldi have been floating as a bad omen over the hellfire rift for some time. Seemingly impervious to the magic and steel of the regional masters they must seek other ways to battle it. Or pehaps it does not need to be battled but saved?
The barrier between Asgard and Midgard has been weakened. The Gods have been able to direct the actions of mortals more directly now but so can the giants of Jotunheim. While it is a time many have wished for it increases the belief that Ragnarok is close and the end of days will burn the lands with neverending fire. Fimbulvinter never seemed colder, the nights are darker and the days are short. It is a Winter of Wolves. The Fenrir grow in numbers in the East among the tops of the Nidhogg Spine. They growl and howl, in expectation of something grand. Shadows haunt the mansion of Lord Nebuchadnezzar intent on bringing about his end. The king has not left his chambers for days. The land is frozen in a time of anticipation.
