The Starstone is a meteorite that tumbled to Golarion in -5293 AR. This event, known as Earthfall, caused the destruction of the ancient empires of Azlant and Thassilon, created the Inner Sea, and ushered in the Age of Darkness.
The hero Aroden lifted it from the sea in 1 AR, becoming a god in the process. He founded the city of Absalom and placed the Starstone in the heart of the city.The stone now rests in the largest cathedral of the Ascendant Court where anyone can take the Test of the Starstone in order to attempt ascension to godhood. Those who fail usually die, although a select few manage to escape, occasionally with great wealth, but no divinity.
Only three of the vast number who took the test have passed: Norgorber, whose life prior to the test is unknown, Cayden Cailean, who took it on a drunken bet, and Iomedae, a worshiper of Aroden who became his herald.
Hopefuls must cross the bottomless pit surrounding the Starstone Cathedral without using a bridge. What has worked for one hopeful may fail for another. Hopefuls have leaped across, flown with magic, or used tightropes, and the spectacle of an attempt nearly always draws an enormous, attentive crowd. There are ten rooms in the Test, each must be completed before one can reach the Starstone.
This will be running indefinitely for the year, possibly longer. Anyone can join this game at any point. When you have made your character, send me the character sheet via message or email for my approval. Then you can post in this thread about how you got over the pit.
Once you get over the pit, we'll create a new thread in which you'll attempt to pass the test. If you are alive in the Test or thinking about taking part in the test, please don't read other people's threads. If you aren't ever going to take part in the Test, please post so here, then you can read the threads. If your character has died, you can read the threads. If your character has passed the test, you can read the threads.
If you complete a room, die, or pass, I will post so in this thread and update the leaderboard.

Rules
- We're using the Pathfinder system.
- Level 20 Character.
- 25 Point Buy.
- You must use one of the core races. Also, you cannot apply any templates to your character
- You start with 880,000 gold.
- You start with two traits.
- If your character dies, your character is not coming back.
- If your character somehow escapes the Test without completing it, your character cannot re-enter the test.
Meta Rules
- While your character is alive in the Test of the Starstone, you cannot talk to anyone about what you encounter in the Test.
- If your character somehow the escapes the Test without completing it, you can talk to anyone who is not currently inside the Test about what you saw in the Test.
- If your character dies in the Test, you cannot talk to anyone who is not currently inside the Test about what you saw in the Test. You can talk to anyone who is currently in the room of the Test in which you died in about what you saw in the Test. You can talk about the test with anyone who has died.
- If your character passes the Test, you cannot talk to anyone who is alive about what you saw in the test. You can talk about the test with anyone who has died.
