So after escaping from the exploding death ball in the gunshop, we headed to the Motel California, which I was assured was such a lovely place, after having some time to assess my wounds, i discovered that I was in a bad shape, bleeding everywhere and whatnot, but I wasn't in the worst shape, or maybe I was it really really hurt. So we get to Motel California and ow I'm hurt, Neville decided to chat up the receptionist, the guy receptionist gave us two rooms and also gave us some information about local hospitals. While a couple of our group stayed behind to talk to the receptionist or go wherever, I along with the old man and the mechanic went up to our room to rest and to see what i could do about our wounds. I couldnt do much. I patched the others up as best as I could and myself, but its hard doing that stuff to yourself.
Anyways I was still beat up quite bad all I could do with what i had available was stop the bleeding, Summer and Neville had gone off to try and procure us some medical supplies, they came back with a doctors bag filled with condoms, it wasn't very helpful. So then somehow we got in contact with a black market kind of guy who sold us a lot of medical equipment, surgery stuff, and despite my pain and blood and pain. I carried it up to our room with Summer while Neville watched, how helpful.
So once we got all the stuff up to the room, I went about getting ready to perform surgery on the old man, surgery in my state was pretty impressive. We locked him to the bed with conveniently positioned handcuffs and I was just thinking about how best to deal with the operation when Summer whipped out a Syringe full of something and plunged it into the old man. He went limp instantly. It turns out she had just poisoned him and put him into a deep coma, oh well. I took the opportunity to patch him up and get him on the mend.
I then dug a bullet out of the mechanic and patched him up, everything went well there. Then it was my turn, I needed some help and Neville said he had previous medical experience so I let him have a go under my supervision, I don't know what he did but he didn't do much, he even hurt me when he was stitching me up so I had to do it. So at this point I was feeling worse, I dont trust Neville to do any more surgery at least.
The decision was made next that I should go to a hospital, ow I hurt, so Summer and I went to the walk in clinic and wow, I had never seen so much squalor before, dirty people everywhere. So we went up to the desk and preceded to bribe the receptionist to let us see a doctor quickly and not have to go through the alliance channels which deal with gunshot wounds. After waiting for a bit no-one showed so we went back to the receptionist, he was gone, there was no records of us being advanced. So we decided to go into the ward and see if we could coerce a doctor into seeing us. After much pain, me floundering about on the floor and more threats of alliance, I got fed up, I didn't want to go back to prison and I am an easily recognizable escaped convict so I grabbed an old unconscious ladies hat and left. It was purple, thats good.
The pain was becoming bearable, so I decided just to go along with the plan and get off this planet and find somewhere away from the alliance that can patch me up. So the gang headed out to buy a ship with all this money we have stolen and ended up at the scrap yard, we decided on a ship, got provisions and started to plan where we were going to go. Ow, I hope we find somewhere to patch me up soon.

Through some miracle we managed all managed to get out of that gun store, except ol' paranoid, God rest his soul. Whilst running for our lives we came to the consensus that we should probably not return to Mr Cane on account of none of us wanting to sleep with the space fish. Once we made a significant distance between us and the site of our failed... well robbery, we decided that as we were holding a couple of thousand credits and probably couldn't get a job anywhere on this rock anyways, to buy a ship and leave promptly.
Half of our group being shot, a stop for some tender loving surgery was in order; being on the run from the alliance, hospitals were pretty much out of the question, so we decided to head to the nearest Inn to patch up. After some brief searching we came across a small bed and... marital aids called The Motel California, whether it was a lovely place is up for discussion but it did indeed have plenty of room and was open for business any time of year; we figured it was discrete enough.
Heading into the reception, the landlord greeted us and offered us a room, though from the way he asked it I think he thought we were all 'together', we booked two rooms for the night and Neville proceeded to haggle with the guy by chatting him up, managed to get us the rooms at a fraction of the cost and a date with him, never took Neville for a 'man's man' but there you go, not that that's a problem or anything, I mean back on the ranch I knew two guys, Ledger and Gyllenhaal were their names, who... well never mind, that's a different story.
Limping up to the rooms, we found the rooms were big enough to do the surgery in (what a nice surprise it was), though the bed was a water-bed with hand cuff bed posts and the walls were covered in various devices mechanical and leather (probably could of fashioned a tazer or cow prod out of some of them given the time, but I didn't fancy toughing them), at least the carpet was clean. O and there were mirrors on the ceiling... don't know what made me remember that out but it felt significant at the time.
Settling down, Doc' wanted to get hold of more medical supplies so that we wouldn't run out and because apparently first aid kits aren't good for dealing with gun shot wounds. I took this opportunity to get some rest, Summer and Neville went out to search for some while Doc stayed behind to meet with a man we set up a meeting with to buy some supplies off of. The two returned with a doctors bag from a sexual health clinic, now I'm no medicine man but I knew condoms weren't going to be much good here and I daren't ask how they got hold of it. The trade with the medicine man did go to plan, as our room is now full of crates of medicine stuff.
After setting up shop, Doc' went to work on Collinwood, probably for the best as he looked the most shot up. We tied him to the bed using the handcuffs so he wouldn't move during the surgery, however as Doc' stood back and contemplated how to go about this, Summer, out of some sort of impulsive drive to help out, injected him with what must have been horse tranquilliser, because not only did he not go under, but he was so left so weak his kids if he had any probably felt drowsy! Asking her politely to sit in the corner, Neville the proceeded to patch him up.
He then sorted me out, and drew a smiley face on me. Being a smart man, he figured that he wouldn't be able to operate on himself and asked if any of us had medical experience, Neville stood forward claiming he did. I reckon he was fibbing though as he only seemed to make things worse.
The doctor now really in need of help, went with Summer to see if they could find a walk-in clinic, Neville met up with the landlord, and I stayed behind to keep an guard on our comatose pilot, got the chance to rest but wasn't half dull. Being gone a long time, Collingwood returned to the land of the living, postponing my game of knock-the-viagra-over-with-the-condoms, I brought him back up to speed with current affairs. Shortly after, Neville returned; he was walking funny and looked like he was going to cry.
When Doc' and Summer returned, it transpired that the alliance either have clinics in check or that the staff didn't know how bribes work, leaving them with nothing to show for it but a purple woman's hat which Neville 'found'.
Enough time had been spent messing around with this and so we decided to continue the plan of leaving this rock.
Cautiously returning to Al's Ship dealership we purchased a working ship, all the supplies needed to make it to a planet Collinwood reckons we can get the Doc seen to and find work, and a few devices to help us evade trouble if it should come our way.
Bruce here, checking out and leaving the Motel California.
